These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of sentinelsteelstructures.com and your dealings with Sentinel Steel Structures LLC ("Sentinel," "we," "us," or "our"). By using this website, requesting a quote, or placing an order, you agree to these Terms.
1. Who We Are
Sentinel Steel Structures LLC is a North Carolina limited liability company and an authorized dealer of steel buildings. We sell carports, garages, barns, RV covers, combo units, and commercial structures manufactured by third-party manufacturers. Manufacturing, delivery, and installation are performed by the manufacturer and its authorized installation crews. Sentinel arranges and coordinates your order; we do not manufacture the buildings ourselves.
2. Quotes and Pricing
- Quotes are estimates based on the information you provide and the manufacturer's current price sheet. They are not offers to contract until confirmed in a signed order.
- Quotes are valid for the period stated on the quote. Manufacturer pricing, steel costs, and freight can change; if your quote expires, we'll requote at current pricing.
- Pricing assumes a level, accessible, and prepared site. Grading, concrete, permits, engineered drawings, certification, and unusual site conditions may add cost.
- Prices shown on this website or in any online design tool are estimates and do not include taxes, permits, or site work unless expressly stated.
- We correct pricing errors. If an obvious error appears in a quote or on the site, we'll notify you and reissue the correct price before proceeding.
3. Orders, Deposits, and Payment
- An order is confirmed when you sign the order documents and pay the required deposit or down payment.
- Deposits, payment schedules, and balance-due timing are set by the manufacturer and stated on your order documents. Your signed order documents control if anything there differs from this page.
- Final balances are typically due at or before installation, per your order.
- Payments are processed by the manufacturer, our payment processor, or your financing provider. Sentinel does not store full payment card or bank account numbers.
4. Cancellations, Changes, and Refunds
- Change requests must be made in writing and are subject to manufacturer approval. Changes after production begins may not be possible, and may incur additional cost or reset your lead time.
- Cancellation terms, including whether and how much of a deposit is refundable, are governed by the manufacturer's order agreement you sign. Because buildings are custom-manufactured to your specifications, deposits are frequently non-refundable once production is scheduled.
- Read your order documents before signing. We'll walk you through the cancellation terms if you ask.
5. Lead Times and Scheduling
Lead times are estimates, not guarantees. Manufacturing schedules, weather, crew availability, material supply, and seasonal demand all affect timing.
- Lead time generally begins when your order is confirmed and any required site photos, drawings, and payments are received — not on the day you first contact us.
- Installation is scheduled by the manufacturer's scheduling department, usually with a few days' notice.
- Sentinel is not liable for delays caused by the manufacturer, installation crews, carriers, weather, permitting authorities, or your site not being ready.
6. Site Preparation and Customer Responsibilities
You are responsible for the following before installation day:
- A level, cleared, accessible site. Most manufacturers require the ground to be level within a specified tolerance. Crews may refuse to install on an unlevel or inaccessible site, and a return trip may incur a fee.
- Access for delivery trucks and equipment, including adequate width, overhead clearance, and ground firm enough to drive on.
- Permits and approvals. You are responsible for determining and obtaining any building permits, zoning approvals, HOA approvals, setback compliance, and engineered drawings required where you live. We can tell you what's typically required, but requirements vary by county and municipality and are ultimately your responsibility.
- Utility and property line locations. You are responsible for marking or identifying underground utilities, septic systems, irrigation, and property lines. Neither Sentinel nor the installation crew is liable for damage to unmarked underground items.
- Someone present or reachable on installation day to confirm placement and orientation.
7. Installation
- Installation is performed by the manufacturer's crews or their authorized subcontractors, not by Sentinel employees.
- Standard installation includes anchoring appropriate to your surface type (ground, gravel, concrete, or asphalt). Concrete work, grading, electrical, and plumbing are not included.
- Inspect your building when the crew finishes. Note any concerns before the crew leaves and contact us the same day so we can address them.
8. Warranties
- All warranties are provided by the manufacturer, not by Sentinel. Warranty terms, coverage, and length are stated in the manufacturer's warranty document included with your order.
- Sentinel makes no independent warranty and, to the fullest extent permitted by law, disclaims all implied warranties including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
- We will help you file and follow up on a warranty claim with the manufacturer. Approval of any claim is the manufacturer's decision.
- Warranties typically exclude damage from misuse, unapproved modifications, improper site preparation, acts of nature beyond stated wind and snow ratings, and normal weathering or fading.
9. SMS/Text Messaging Terms
By providing your phone number and checking the applicable consent box, you agree that Sentinel Steel Structures LLC may contact you by phone and text message about your quote, order, and installation. Marketing and promotional messages require separate opt-in and are never a condition of purchase.

See our Privacy Policy for full details on how we handle your information.
10. Website Use and Content
- This website, including its text, layout, drawings, logos, and the Sentinel name and chevron mark, is our property or used with permission, and may not be copied or reused without written permission.
- Product images, specifications, and colors are representative. Actual buildings may vary in appearance, and color reproduction on screens is approximate.
- You agree not to use this site unlawfully, to submit false information, to scrape or copy it in bulk, or to interfere with its operation.
- The website is provided "as is." We don't guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by North Carolina law, Sentinel's total liability arising out of or relating to your order or your use of this website will not exceed the amount you paid to Sentinel for the order at issue. Sentinel is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages — including lost profits, lost use, or property damage — arising from manufacturing defects, delivery or installation performed by third parties, delays, or site conditions. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
12. Dispute Resolution and Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before filing any claim, you agree to contact us first so we have a fair chance to resolve the issue directly — most problems get solved with a phone call. Any dispute that can't be resolved informally will be brought in the state or federal courts located in North Carolina, and you consent to that jurisdiction. Note that your manufacturer order agreement may contain its own dispute resolution terms that apply to claims about the building itself.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date reflects the current version. Your continued use of the site after changes are posted means you accept them. The Terms in effect when you signed your order apply to that order.
